Human traditions are built around the disposal of our bodies after we've died. The major religions all have their rituals and such, but it is the bodies themselves that we should be concerned with, specifically the environmental damage caused by our burial practices.

Somalia has been without a government since its civil war began in 1991. It was the scene of the events of the movie Black Hawk Down and in 2006 was taken over by the Islamic Courts Union (ICU). Since 2004, the recognized government of Somalia has been the Transitional Federal Government (TFG), but the real power has been the feuding warlords who control their own territory and make their own law as they see fit. Like in Afghanistan in the mid-'90s, Islam offered the people security from what was basically rule by banditry, but the TFG with the help of Ethiopian troops (and support of US aircraft) was able to drive the rebels and the ICU out of the capital and restore [dis]order.

Yeah we heard of the Axis of Evil, well guess what.. it's really here.. if you subscribe to the 'US vs  Them' mentality. India, China and Russia have started talks regarding cooperation on a number of different subjects ranging from trade (including oil) to foreign policy to terrorism. They've essentially agreed that they have no real disagreements.

Three of the most used web services are being torn apart by the legal ramifications of copyright. YouTube (owned by Google), GoogleNews, and MySpace have all seen the writing on the wall (or been handed a judgment) regarding the unauthorized usage of copyrighted materials by their sites. YouTube and MySpace have the same problem, their users are posting copyrighted videos and both have started to act on it. GoogleNews has dug its own grave after losing a recent court case in Belgium.
