For these heresies (and his willingness to criticize right-wing deniers of these facts) he has caught a lot of flack from conservative commentators such as Rush Limbaugh and Michael Levin. Rachel Maddow skewers Paul over his opinions on the Civil Rights Act, which Paul believes should not apply to private business. pO157 writes: I always speculated that once health care was deemed a universal right to be provided for by the government that there would soon be another freebie close behind. All the coverage of healthcare reform has buried another White House initiative that has recently been picking up steam - an overhaul of the No-Child Left Behind Act. The new plan would drop the NCLB moniker and the emphasis on meeting grade-level proficiency test scores, replacing them with skills-based assessments that would focus on preparing students for careers and college.

There has, however, always been a problematic trade-off - planting crops for biofuel has reduced the crop space available for food crops. The more popular biofuels became, the more the cost of food staples would increase. Now a potential solution finally seems within reach - two companies have recently announced breakthroughs in creating cellulose-based biofuels.
